He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and counts over 25 years professional experience in auditing and corpor ate finance. He is a past pr esident of the Mauritius Institute of Professional Accountants and a former Board member of the Financial Reporting Council. He is a self-driven and results-oriented individual with a clear focus on quality. He likes challenges and is passionate about making things happen. He is always ready to help others professionally or socially. He is a sports fanatic and likes reading and spending time with his family. Osman is a Licensed Auditor and a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner.
The story of MMW LLP began in 2000 when Osman M. Badat founded Badat & Co, Chartered Accountants. What started as a vision to deliver trusted financial expertise soon evolved into a dynamic professional services firm.
In 2008, with new partners on board, the firm became DOS Associates – marking the start of an exciting new chapter of growth. Two years later, in 2010, the firm joined the McMillan Woods Global (now McMillan Woods Worldwide) network gaining international reach and rebranding as McMillan Woods Mauritius.
Fast forward to 2024, the firm entered a new era by joining forces with a select group of international services firms, re-emerging as MMW LLP – proudly retaining its membership within the McMillan Woods Worldwide family.
Today, MMW LLP continues to be led by Osman M. Badat, supported by a passionate team of 30 professionals committed to creating impact for our colleagues, clients and communities.
